Glad to Be Home, and Another Exhibit

Seems like I was gone much longer than I was. My lecture at the conference went well, based on the response I got anyway. Got to see three of the many fiber/textile exhibits in Philadelphia running during this month. I'm writing an article and I will be reviewing the exhibits at Gross McCleaf Gallery and Art Quilt Elements at the Wayne Arts Center. Also stopped by the Fiber Exhibit at Snyderman-Works which was much more to my liking because if its push-the-envelope work.

Today is the opening of I HEART PHOTOGRAPH's curated photo exhibit called IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE A PHOTOGRAPH OF NEW JERSEY REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD? A PDF of the exhibition catalogue is now downloadable at http://www.iheartphotograph.com/ (on the right side, near the top of the page). Takes time to download, but it's really interesting.

One of my Sunset Tree images was included in the catalog, and it just happens that the tree pictured is in the park right outside the Pierro Gallery. I have two other images in the exhibit too. Almost all of the photos are printed at 5x7 and fill the gallery with a few images printed larger.

Here's the info:

I'm too exhausted to go today, but will get up there, it's going to be a really interesting installation. Some of the photos are beautiful, some crazy, some clever.. like the piece of pork shaped like the state of NJ! Love it.
