Last Leaves Gone

Got a call from James Gray Gallery last night. My show came down on Sunday, hard to believe it's been a month already. But they called with good news, because they sold Last Leaves yesterday!

That was one of the last pieces I made for my show, it had a very soft feel with printed and painted organza over a duplicate printed image, with lots of paint and medium and hand stitching.

I'm speaking at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ to a fibers class on Friday and then heading out for my friend Joan Dreyer's MFA thesis show opening in Philadelphia. I'm looking forward to seeing it after seeing much of the work in progress over the past two years. Her thesis is about the "Home Front" and how war affects those at home as well as those fighting.
