A Short Vacation

I'm off to Cape Cod for a few days to visit my parents and my sister is visiting from Florida too. Should be fun and I need a couple of days off.....

......because I found out yesterday that I'll be doing one of the "feature" pieces at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Atlantic City. That means a triptych in one of the elevator lobbies, and it's due at the end of June.

So, I'll go right from the restaurant project into the hospital project. Not complaining for sure! I'm so lucky to have a job that I love.

Taking my new camera with me. I used to take lots of Cape Cod photos, and then I stopped because going "home" became too familiar I guess. I never lived there myself, but grew up in Lawrence, MA which isn't quite as picturesque as the Cape.... and that's a major understatement. It's a shame, actually. Anyway, my parents have lived on the Cape for over 30 years now, so I guess it's as much home as anywhere.

You are so lucky to have a "home" somewhere so beautiful. We get to the Cape one week each year, and we wait for it the other 51 weeks of the year. A rich place, overlooked by so many.

Congratulations on the back-to-back commissions.
