Marshlands Update

The top three images are some of the interesting patterns that I found in the grasses at high tide in Cape Cod. The bottom is a detail shot of Marshlands 2. That's hand stitching on linen, covered with gesso, a lot of paint and two layers of varnish. I love that the viewer just sees the texture and isn't quite sure what it is.

The 3 paintings should be dry to photograph by tomorrow. Delivery is Tuesday in Philadelphia at the framers'.

Amazing! I heard today from the Columbus Museum of Art that there were 1005 people at last night's opening reception. I was here in NJ, oh well. Can't do everything and I would have been really stressed leaving on a trip this week.
